Re: time for a new tent

Hi Andy, One of my tents is the Hilleberg Staika and I'm really impressed by it, here's why; First of all, it's totally self supporting as it uses 3 poles, all the same length which support the whole tent. Because it's an exoskeleton tent, the poles are on the outside of the tent which means the who...

Re: Buy or lease

I've had my bikes on PCP for about 12-15 years and it works well for me. I go in knowing that I don't want to pay anymore the x/month and know what I have to put down as a deposit as well as the extra value that's still in the bike. My yearly mileage is about 15,000 miles per year and that's reflect...

Re: Can I plead not guilty?

and spend it on getting some further training like the RoSPA or IAM course. I didn't want to say it, because it makes those who have had further training sound like holier than thou preachers, but after advanced training you will always spot the cameras and 99.9% of the time unlike someone on the o...

Re: Can I plead not guilty?

It's always hard to admit you're at fault and sadly, if you're the one riding/driving the vehicle, you have no one else to blame but number one. In the long run, take the points, pay the fine and save your money that you want to spend on a solicitor etc and spend it on getting some further training ...

They should pay for the fairing. If you can't go straight to them, go to the police. Criminal Damage is an offence

Re: Recommend a stove

I've started to use a Pocket Stove, Trangia burner and NATO cup. It's very light, small and I'm very happy with it. http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii639/MNinnim/Other%20Stuff/IMG_1531.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii639/MNinnim/Other%20Stuff/IMG_1526.jpg http://i1263.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Ignorant Riders....

I'm a GSer and I always nod or wave.

There was a guy who I saw on a regular basis on an RT and although I always nodded I never got anything back, so one day when I saw him, I flipped him the finger, he nearly fell off his bike looking at me - he nodded after that!

Re: sat nav help needed

John, you can use something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Jabra-Clipper-Universal-Stereo-Bluetooth-Headset-Wireless-Handsfree-New-/141610229405 It will connect to your Sat-Nav and you can use your own speakers if you don't like the pink ones! I used the older version with some moulded ...
