Re: Anyone fitted a cycle water bottle cage to their bike?
Would a camel back not be a better solution? +1 I don't go anywhere without mine... There are plenty of cheaper copies kicking around if you want to do it on a budget. You can get cheaper versions of the genuine items also - Mine is a 3 litre British army issue Camelbak which I bought brand new for...

Re: Honda CB500X -- rust
I doubt very much that it is a sales technique - as you demonstrate, it is not a good way to get customers to buy another machine! It comes down to material and finish quality (paint thickness/quality) at the end of the day and this is driven by cost. I'm not saying it's right but it is an economic ...

Re: Honda CB500X -- rust
This affects all manufacturers - I would still put Honda quality above others though.... Everything is relative... In real terms, bike cost the customer about the same as they always have done (I'd not a bit less) so, with everything else going up in price, quality will suffer. The reality is that m...

Re: Citroen Berlingo vans......any good?
My father-in-law has one. His is a bit of a shed... seems reliable enough though. It's a Diesel - pretty economical... I used it to tow the Africa Twin up to Salisbury the last time I was out there and it didn't miss a beat. As for known faults... no idea... his seems like reliable workhorse. Slidey

Re: Rugged Roads crash bars... in action...
Great pic Slidey Good that you have your priorities right - camera out in a crash! Was this a go pro type frame shot? Yes it was... I have the video - it makes me cringe every time I watch it! It was winter. Wet road. Fresh Knobblies. Wheel locked on a down shift slowing down for the entrance to a ...

Rugged Roads crash bars... in action...
Some of you will have seen this on another forum...
Someone kindly refered to this picture in my newbie intro post so I thought I'd share it here..
25ish mph impact.
I can confirm that the Rugged Roads crash bars are indeed the business.

Hi Mike, Great job sorting this. I am still TBC for this event (pending some travel with work that wont be finalised until a week or so before hand) but would appreciate it if you could count me in to the plans. Please put me down for the Friday night (1 bike, 1 tent) and riding in group 2 on Saturd...

Did a day out on the lanes down there last winter on the Africa Twin - awesome day out... Water lane was more watery for sure...
Keen for another ride out down there so give me a shout if you're planning another ride...
(I had a CCM 604 DS - cracking bike...).

Re: New member... old bike...
Thanks for the welcome all... I'm quite proud of the crash bars photo... It's the only on board "action" shot I've ever seen of the bars in action... I bet Jonathan has used it to sell some bars... Looking forward to seeing some of you on the lanes round this way (novices positively encour...
