Re: scotland trip
You don't have much choice in Scotland, outside of the central belt it's all A and B roads. No shortage of squiggly roads where 50mph will be fast enough though.Just post if you want advice on routes.Don't forget there are some great, quiet roads in the east through the Cairngorm National Park although...

Leaking fork seals.
This is maybe common knowledge out there but it's new to me and might help save someone else a lot of hassle. So last night I lifted my bike cover to find I had a leaking fork bad enough to leave a stain on the ground. IMG_20180526_075053.jpg Thinking I was going to have to replace the fork seals I ...

Re: Survival options
I was just reading somewhere the other day that farm vehicles are involved in most bike collisions in the country. You might not think you're speeding but are you prepared for someone doing 20mph around the corner? Also even if they are turning left into a field they first have to swing out to the ri...

Re: Survival options
That's what I think Dansin. You can do as much advanced training as you want and no doubt it may help in being aware of hazards but in a real emergency brake situation where there was no chance of expecting it,your just relying on natural instincts cutting in.If you have time to think what you are do...

Re: Survival options
You don't know what you would do until it happens but I don't think there's a dog big enough that I would jump off my bike to avoid,I'll take my chances cutting it in half! Your bike wouldn't stop dead so I don't think you would go over the handle bars.A red deer would probably be a different story ...

Re: Firebox Stove - Advice Needed
IMG_20180518_171726.jpgI just received this from China off Ebay today. It was only £12.82 but it isn't cheap crap. I've already bought one of their other models last year and was so impressed I decided to get a second one. This is the Aotu T8 and I've just tested it boiling a mug of water in three ...

Re: What the hell is it with ferry prices.?
Driving down to southern Spain with the wife and the dog for a month in July this year via Plymouth Santander ferry, damned expensive. But when you look at the cost of the Eurotunnel, motorway tolls and overnight stop offs, fuel etc, not a lot of difference. You pay for the convenience I guess. Tha...

Re: france fuel price rocket
I'm not a spend thrift but I don't even bother to look at the price of petrol. If my bike needs it,it will get it.I would never not do a trip because the price had gone up a few Euros. You only live once!

Re: Trailer Trial.
Sledgegreen, it was only when I was riding solo that it started to weave. Once my girlfriend was on the bike that sorted it. I wouldn't bother with the trailer if I was going away myself but for two people camping in comfort it's great.
