The Stella Alpina rally is second weekend in July, there'll be a few new Africa Twins there, mine may well be one of them!
We take a week to get down there, spend the weekend at Bardonecchia then a week to come back home.
Might be worth a thought?

Re: Snow report NE Scotland, week before Chrimbo
In all honesty JB mate, it's just a runabout, would make a nice café racer with a set of ace bars, rear sets, nose fairing, tyres and most importantly, decent suspension! The seat and tank range isn't in the adventure style bracket, just over 100 miles to the petrol light, the seat's a bit of a plan...

Re: Prices and details ,for the new Africa twin
I measured the dimensions of both Africa Twin and Crosstourer at the bike show and I reckon my Givi rails off of my Crosstourer will fit the CRF1000L, so I'll continue to use my Alpos boxes on my new bike when it arrives next month. Givi quick release side racks £200 ish then two 35L Alpos boxes at ...

Aye Sprintster, forecast to go back colder next week but I don't think there's a lot of snow coming, but agree, you just never know!
Lancashirelad, it was stunning in Findhorn today, blue skies, sunshine and around 15c! Breezy, but t-shirt weather! Enjoy your trips guys!

Re: New Africa Twin v KTM 1050 Adventure
You could take another couple of grand off the price of the KTM, I still DON'T WANT A KTM, I want a new Africa twin, and hopefully by mid January I should have mine. Mine will be used offroad, first day out in fact! I can afford a new bike, I want it to be a Honda so I've ordered mine. End of. I'll ...

Snow report NE Scotland, week before Chrimbo
Hi all, took the Bonneville out for a run today as the weather was, well, to say the least, unusual! 14c when I left the house and blueish skies, on the 19th Dec in the NE of Scotland? I only put in 100 miles but man it was brilliant! Small pockets of snow in the Cairngorm mountain range but not eno...

Re: Forth Bridge
As an SNP member I find your comment offensive and small minded. What exactly has the structure of the bridge built decades ago failing have to do with the SNP or the Scottish government? It will affect the economy while the bridge is out of action but Scotland will recover, it always has. Nobody is...
