Re: New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride

So your reason for buying the AT1000 was to... avoid changing your user name? :woohoo: Great choice of colour scheme, I am quite attracted to it and I think this bike will do very well. I can see it near the top of the best sellers list. I'm guessing you bought the 'normal' version of the bike? Yes...

Re: New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride

Hey Jim it's so refreshing to see a new bike being put to it's design requisite, Honda are so lucky to have you as BMW to have J (thumbs) It looks fab, I'm envious and can't wait to meet up later in the year to witness it being ridden correctly  Make many memories but as usual don't forget to...

Re: New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride

When I picked it up today the dealer said he's had lots of interest but they will be hard to come by as the first lot are all sold, next consignment isn't due for six weeks! I think Honda have got it right for the first time in over a decade. I've never lost faith in Honda, although they lost their ...

Re: New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride

The end can's already off! Sitting in my shed, I've fitted a Quill stainless slip on can. Sounds a bit beefier!

New Honda Africa Twin 1st ride

I picked up my new Africa twin today, I'll try to be objective but obviously I will be biased! Firstly, to look at, it is one of the sweetest looking bikes I've ever owned. The Tri-colour is stunning, especially in the sunlight! Ridingwise, the bike feels and sounds like an old Africa twin but smoot...

Re: Africa twin

Quick update, Honda Ecosse in Aberdeen have their demo bike in, it's a WRB manual. I was in past yesterday, my bike arrives on Tuesday 19th. I'm not taking any OEM extras, plenty of aftermarket stuff coming on to the market. I'll post a proper review once I've had a proper ride. WP_20160116_15_35_01...

Ride/Ski/snow report 2016

Hi all, well due to work and weather I've not been out much lately so it was great to get out on the bike today. I decided to head over to Carr bridge as it had been in the news lately due to being endangered during the current flooding and I was glad to see the almost 400yr old bridge was still int...

Re: Reflective bib required in France

Fuck me, is it that hard to get an answer to a simple question on this forum nowadays? The original poster wants to ride in mainland Europe and has asked what he might have to take to keep himself on the right side of the law. Some reasonable answers from some folk, but six pages? Five of them full ...
