Re: polymorph and rim clamp balancing
Many ways to skin a cat as they say. I made a plaster mould that I have used to cast pieces that look like the post on a car battery but also found that a my 12-bore slug mould works if I remove the tail insert. I end up with neat 1 to 1 1/2 oz weights. I counter bore them for the spoke and nipple t...

Re: Offends me, deeply
Ah that KTM looks familiar, and still looks better than the bike originally mentioned. :cheer: Ah, does it bring back happy memories of a clean, bright and warm workshop !! I think that picture must be pretty much a year ago because I just put it through it's MoT today. Hard wired a Ring Prism LED ...

Re: Motorcycle boots
The Forma Adventure boots are very comfy and are pretty good for the money. You get a boot that is waterproof, reasonably tough and you can clamber about in them. Don't expect them to last a long time if you're seriously trail-riding though; the soles are too soft to cope with off-road footpegs. Min...

Re: Perfect bike for slippery back roads.
KTM 200 2-stroke on full knobblies.
It's probably the most imperfect bike for slippery back roads. Still had a fun day out yesterday though.

Re: Wanted drz 400 s/e brake discs
Tramp, my mate fitted them to his KTM and said they were shit and got eaten by his brake pads!!!
I've got a front on my KTM 200 and pads and disc seem to be doing OK so far. I use Goldfren sintered pads.

Re: Power output from mini Jump start battery
I bought http://www.componentshop.co.uk/leads-and-connectors/leads/ec5-lead and crimped a cigarette lighter socket to it. I've used it to run a small compressor and power a GPS. Mine has a USB out too. I have also started my Suzuki Jeep and assisted a nearly flat battery on my transit. Very impresse...
