Re: Snowdonia

If you can return via Machynlleth it is well worth a detour up to Bwlch y Groes from Dinas and then dropping down to Lake Vyrnwy to get to Newtown and home. safe journey!

Re: Talybont Resevoirs and Brecons.

I don't seem to have MapSource on my pc. When I bought the Zumo 660 from Touratech, the only cd in the box iy came in is called 'City Navigator'.
Does this mean I have to purchase Mapsource separately? I googled it and it is for sale at around £140

Re: Talybont Resevoirs and Brecons.

Could someone please explain to a non-tekkie like me how I can input those co-ordinates into my Garmin660 to plot a meaningful route?
bestbiking roads.com is full of downloadable routes if only I knew what to do?

Re: Replacement screen F800Gs-any recommendations?

Went up to Woody's (Sportouring) to order the Wunderlich Ergo Vario but they didn't have one in and will order one for me; meanwhile they have lent me the MRA vario screen to try out for a week to see what I think of it before I make my mind up....you can't beat service like that so well done to them!

Re: Where would you buy your gear and accessories?

I might be a traditionalist but I prefer supporting my local shop rather than some soulless, cavernous warehouse in Jersey or wherever. I can't recommend Woody's Sportouring in Abercynon highly enough (no I am not on commission). Honest unbiased advice, good old fashioned service and a cracking cup ...

Re: Replacement screen F800Gs-any recommendations?

I've got the standard one fitted from new. Whichever one seems by consensus to be the best I'll get, not too keen on the Cee Bailey one though as I want to look over the top of the screen not through it.

Replacement screen F800Gs-any recommendations?

Anyone replaced the stock screen on the F800GS with a Wunderlich Ergo or Ergo Vario, MRA or Givi etc? I am finding wind noise to be an issue despite wearing earplugs (My helmet is a Schuberth C3). Wind noise is somewhat reduced by standing up on the pegs 4" or so. Not too keen on the Touratech ...
