Re: Riding in France

Filtering is legal as far as I know. Maximum speed is 50kph and the traffic either side of you has to be stationary. You also need to turn on your hazards when actually lanesplitting. The hazards is the only bit that riders seem to comply with - on a recent trip around Paris (0n the outer Periphique...

Re: Riding in France

I've lived here in the Dordogne for 25 years and have been stopped by the Gendarmes at least 50 times, mostly on a bike but also in cars and vans. I always have my documents with me and this usually means I just get a ticking off for whatever offence I have committed - dirty headlight, small number ...

Re: Adhesive for stainless steel to glass?

Any MS Polymer adhesive. Most companies supply one as a construction adhesive, most modern cars are held together with the stuff. Clean surfaces with white spirit or acetone before glueing just to be sure.

Re: KTM 690 rocker arms

Mines a 2009 with about 25k kms on it and I've not had a problem with the rocker arms or anything in the engine for that matter. Not ignoring the problem because the bike is used mainly for long trips now, but I would love to know which part/year is the best one to fit.

Re: The XT350 Thread - The Ultimate Adventure Bike!

You're probably right about the fuel, I seem to remember that XR400's of the same era were just as difficult to start after a short lay-up. The rear brake was OK if clean and dry but once it got wet I found it had to be stripped and cleaned out to get it working properly again.
