Halfords Professional tools on offer.

If anyone is looking for some good quality tools, I reckon the Professional Halfords range take some beating, particulary when on special offer. Just bought a 3/8 socket set and a screwdriver set. Both were under half price and quailty far better than most budget brands. Well worth a look, just make...

Re: Europe - break-down cover..(?)

Mine is with my bike insurance, on paper it seems to offer good cover. Whatever you do make sure you read the policy conditions before you buy. Some are very strict about age of bike and service history etc. You can pay a lot of money out to some of the big companies and then find the cover worthless.

Re: Recommend me a Chain oiler.......

IMHO I would go for a Scottoiler. Well made and works just fine. Fairly straightforward to install. Once set up, just top up when required- easy. Saves you messing around with spraying etc, much less wear on chain so far less adjusting. Saves you a fortune in chains and sprockets too.

Re: Honda XL1000 Varadero for sale- 1 owner!

I'm trying to upload photos but failing! I've had a quick look in the help section but still can't do it. Is it difficult or just me?

If no photos appear soon, and you seriously interested in the bike, just PM me your e-mail address and I'll do it that way,

Re: new helmet for my bike

Flip up style helmets are probably most practical offering full face protection. There was a good test on them in ABR magazine. Yep, fit is so important, so get to a load of shops and try all various makes, types and price ranges just to feel the differences. Ask assistant for fitting advice, if adv...

French breathalyser- new requirement to carry!

Just heard that if travelling in France from 1st July we now need to carry a breathalyser kit! Yep, it's true, have a search on the net and you'll see. I understand that fines will not be imposed until November, but probably not worth risking.
