I also had the Karoo3 tyres. A good all rounder but will not be as grippy on tarmac or in the wet as a Tourance or Anakee.

Re: Does the OEM engine guard fit with SW Motech Crashbars? for F800GS
Thanks Steve I actually meant the BMW aluminium engine guard sold as an accessory. See this link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191112134693?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The TT unit looks like quite a sturdy option though. I may be interested in that. Will let you know b...

Does the OEM engine guard fit with SW Motech Crashbars? for F800GS
Hi fellas
Does anyone here know if the BMW engine guard(OEM bashplate)will fit my '12plate bike with SW Motech crashbars?
Saw one for a steal on fleabay and just wondered if it is worthwhile.
Happy to take advice on engine oil filter/cooler protection from those who've been down this route.

Re: Hood Jeans
I have a pair of Draggin Cargo trousers. Although I wear my full suit 99% of the time commuting and touring, the Kevlar trousers will either be for short trips or slow rides or at the ABR events.

Hi Andy
I have a touratech pannier rack in the rafters of my garage which was modified to fit a wee strom. There may be blokes on the forum that can make it fit for your xt660z? PM me if you're interested mate.

Re: The jounrey to the Dark (dirty) side begins...
The 800XC is definitely worth a look. I test rode one a week after looking at the 800GS. That triple engine is an absolute gem. I liked it so much in fact that I had it on my shortlist and very nearly bought one had it not been for the rubbish dealers near me. I'm sure there are great Triumph dealer...

Hi Jim I had the XT660Z for about 2 years before I part exd it on an F800GS. Both are great bikes but IMHO the GS will do the same stuff off-road as the XT but be more comfortable on the long journeys (less vibes, comfortable touring speed with the right screen, more tractable engine, better handlin...

Re: Controversy alert, BMW may not be most popular !!!
They just need to change their customer service structure and unprofessional dealer network and id maybe even think about them myself I would have probably bought a 800XC were it not for the crap service I got from two Triumph dealers I went to see. Took them almost a month to get back to me on a p...
