nice day today, no rain. first stop Altnaharra, sometime coldest place in Britain, then on the Hope road to Durness, never saw another vehicle in over 20 miles.

My first answer was actually wrong, it all depends on the carrier's Conditions of Carriage (CoC). Most transporters will limit their liability under their CoC, but if they do not (or do not inform you of their CoC) then you can claim for everything. Did you sign any document pertaining to CoC?
