£20 membership (bit more for a family) and International hostels. cheap, bikes safe and a clean shower after a few days doin' it wild helps the soul. Boulounge, Bayeux lots of them about especially if it rains for a while. Pegasus bridge mentioned above was my favourite. enjoy and smile when it rain...

Got roped into it too. We're 60 miles from Newcastle (ferry to Holland) 740 miles in a oner down the road. 2 days there for the big hill (or a bit of the way up the hill) then 2 days home - holidays are rare. Only option for DFDS is a cabin working out at £209 pp return. Better than 400 miles to Dov...

Never had anything But AA Europe 5*. Never heard of not covering Tolls though. Not for bike but we had AA5* Europe cover last year touring in a motorhome for a few months. Broke down on Spanish Toll. 1 artic lorry low loader and three free hire cars and free accomodation including dog and ..., well ...
