Wondered the same about the Explorer, but after sweating it out on a road across Wales after the warning light came on at 50 miles. Big Alpine passes with a mixture of fast bends and tight hairpins along with good views. I hate roadworks where the top layer has been ripped off and you have to ride on a broken surface with what are effectively tramlines pulling the bike all over the place. +1 with some warm dry weather thrown in...

First get a shaft or belt driven bike, so no oily back ends. Try not to go anywhere muddy, and only go out if rain is not forecast.
