Re: Honda CB500 1998 for sale

Just another quick refresher. I'll drop the price to £850 if it temps anyone--but lower than that and to be honest its worth keeping even if I SORN it.

Re: Green lane ruling in lakes

what are the stats------ 70 miles of byways open to all traffic in 2400 miles of unpaved tracks and trails. Still too much for some--and that key point--all the walkers and MTB riders DRIVE to the area anyway.

Re: Tarp set ups

I have a Robens tarp--loads of attachment points--and I use the trailer type tarp short elasticated tie downs (with a plastic ball) between the eyelets and the guy ropes on all but the two main ,top guys--plenty of give in a wind. They can be configured many ways with a few extra guy ropes. bargain ...

Re: 12v USB power question?

Re: Quiet stove

I have a chinese "copy" which is fine--and just fits in a Chinese titanium kettle with the jetboil idea in its base--but being wider it will boil enough for a couple of cups in about 2 minutes-perfic. Also the Chinese do an adaptor for the none threaded butane gas cylinders that you usually see in a...

Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build

The Oz ones were vac bagged and then lacquered I believe---so you probably didn't have a smooth finish(carbon weave "ripples") to start with--we start with a gel coat in the lay up (for a smooth exterior finish--we don't lacquer)--and its a press mould--gel, carbon, glass, carbon, kevlar triaxial, c...

Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build

Are those carbon bits from Oz?--I'm still making the occasional set for the 640A --still a popular bike--about to send a set to Germany.
