Re: Has anyone used one of these?

Dave, there fecking dangerous, awesome device for mutilating everything it touches, but you won't be doing any fine wood carving g with it. Yeah that's the impression I'm getting Steve. It's a bit 'medieval on your arse' isn't it ? In fact I just found this vid, and if you skip to 22.39 you will se...

Re: Has anyone used one of these?

I've seen a video of those, I'm sure they are good at chiselling wood. However, I would imagine that for every time it works well there would be 5 total disasters where that thing acts like the cookie monster!

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

maybe a bit of hope for you and your mate We also have an agreement with AstraZeneca to supply a neutralising antibody cocktail as a prophylactic treatment once clinical trials are completed and it is approved by regulators. This treatment will be provided in the short term for people who cannot re...

Re: Work Case #21 DRZ400 in 2019

In the late 70s a pal of mine bought a (rear engined) Hillman Imp at an evening car auction, riding home with him the throttle cable broke. Half an hour of splendid bodging later - utilising some of the original cable, a length of fence wire found in the hedge and a pair of DM bootlaces - we were o...

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

My view is that those who want it, have it. Those that don't, do not. If it worked like that it would be a far simpler moral issue, but it doesn't work like that. Successful herd immunity via vaccination (the only type of herd immunity that works without mass deaths) requires a high level of vaccin...

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

Very true Asgard, I'm truely shocked at the percentage of people I know who say they won't take the vaccine. Speaking in independence, I see Nicola Sturgeon has pulled an absolute blinder this week. Offering £500 to Scottish health workers and challenging Boris not to tax it. He can't win that eithe...

Re: New Honda CRF300 L and CRF300 Rally

Forgive me if this is a stupid question but to me as someone who only has one bike for road and off road I'd like to know whether the extra power translates to lower revs at 70mph on the motorway.

Re: EU. In or out?

Brexiters did a lot of rejoicing actually, as you know. There was lots of "you lost so shut up" talk, although that's mysteriously died down a bit lately! Shut Up...You Lost :D Ha  And in deference to your signature: You ain't leadin' but two things right now: Jack and shit... and Jack left to...

Re: EU. In or out?

The EU was always going to put us on the naughty step or at least try, The EU has done no such thing. It has tried its hardest all along to minimise the pain of brexit for both sides. Brexit is a lose-lose scenario so the best you can do is reduce the damage if you can. If the UK finds itself weari...
