Re: who would you like to give a prezzie to?

Think BMW had to replace loads of these and maybe on a recall. Hot weather as well as corrosion caused numerous problems.

Re: Soft Adventure panniers with strap fastners?

I’ve recently got a nice set of panniers from 21 Brothers. They are manufactured in Poland to your personal spec. To my eye they seem very well made. I haven’t yet used them so can’t comment too much. Have a google for their website and user reviews. They do other soft luggage which also looks very ...

Re: Info re ABR IReland Rally 2020

Thanks Heff and Flintlock for taking the time to arrange this excellent rally yet again. Yep, I thoroughly enjoyed the Shepherds Rest, and will no doubt be camping there in the future. It is excellent. However, a new venue always freshens things up and I have no doubt the 2020 event will be another ...

Re: Ecky Thump Rally 11 to 13 October

Thanks Steve for organising again. Great to meet up again with the usual crowd as well as some new faces. Horrible ride home for 2nd year in a row and made me realise I really do need some hand guards and muffs. Pity that John and the bee had to get transported home early, thankfully the AA did thei...

Re: Ecky Thump Rally 11 to 13 October

I reckon quite a few more will sign up or just turn up. Not sure how many turned up last year, but campsite was fairly full as I seem to recall?

It’s a great area to visit and lots of places to enjoy.

Be patient Steve, I’m sure it will be another successful rally.

Re: Ecky Thump Rally 11 to 13 October

Put my name on the list please Mario. Think this will be my 4th Ecky Thump in a row. Looking forward to seeing the usual suspects and some new ones. I think I will be riding my new steed this year, but if not, the trusty Pan will be making another appearance. Thanks Mario for arranging the event! St...

Re: New Zealand or Not?

Great advice here already, I’d echo 3 weeks not enough for NZ. We did 4 weeks, both islands in a hire car. Amazing place, mostly very quiet roads and incredible scenery. It is expensive, but if you have the money, why not? Do 3 weeks in South Island probably. A great alternative is South Africa. We ...

Re: ABR Ireland Rally 2019, 10-12 May 2019 Sign Up

Just hopefully posted a few photos there. I did write a report on my trip, but laptop threw a wobbly and I lost the lot! So very briefly now, thanks to everyone as usual. Got back late Weds eve total miles 1,908. I'll probably do a few more words once I've calmed down after losing that lot.
