I mount my Drift camera here (I know it's not Gopro but they do a similar mount.)

I've also heard all the hype, but nothing to back the scare mongering. I for one am not worried. if shit happens, it happens.

As for the point of the cost to fit detachable ones, it would be minimal on such a large production scale.
