Re: Salisbury plain avoiding the mobs

I did wonder if it worked, did you sort out your ugly sticks. One of the group's I chatted too recond there was a group of 30. It was nice to see a good number of younger riders and also women out. The main problem I could see with the larger groups was they were all riding to close to each other, ...

Re: Salisbury plain avoiding the mobs

As excellent as the charity fundraising is, groups of 20 bikes are not the way to endear ourselves to the great British public IMHO. There seems to be a weird thought process in ‘a certain collective’ that groups should be no more than 6 but mass rides are perfectly ok. As I understand it, the Wess...

Re: Salisbury plain avoiding the mobs

Nice one Timmo. Was certainly the busiest I've EVER seen the Plain! But good fun. Plenty of room for everyone :D https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7920/46518099562_b8095cfab9_z.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4854/46518100162_d5a11c4fd3_z.jpg Here's Disco dude getting dragged out. https://photos.goo...

Re: Do-it-all (adv) tyres

That Mefo Super Explorer 2 looks very interesting. 'Cept I can't find any details of it on the net! Google draws a blank. The 'old' SE was well regarded but I didn't find it blocky enough. The tread pattern on the SE2 seems to be more aggressive. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181218/0a3c7ce91ac...

Re: Backpac's - Kriega R20

Check out the COURSE ones that were only a tenner--semi rigid, apparently waterproof, contoured, and designed for a laptop--They work well--goodness knows how they manage to sell them at that price. I had to extend the belly strap a bit for bulky jackets--but saddle thread and a spare bit of strap ...

Re: How to check a rectifier/regulator?

Bung what you wrote in your title into Youtube. There's loads on it. That's how I learn to do most things these days.

After you've learnt how to test your reg/rec you'll be doing the stator next... :D

Re: Garmin repair times

That's a good turn around, but (in the UK anyway) they don't repair them, rather give you a replacement, reconditioned unit.

Hope you got a new battery :D

Shit, sad news. I knew him through the KTM forum too. He had an immaculate KTM Adventure.
Ride on, dude... :(
