I agree about the Guzzi 750 S3...one 'turned my head' when I was 17 and I ended up working for the dealer that had sold it...Three Cross Motorcycles!
Late teenage years surrounded by Guzzi Le Mans, Duke 900SSs, Laverda Jotas etc...I never recovered!

Re: Any current or former motorbike or car instructors on here?
Years ago, I knew a guy who worked for the British School of Motoring.
IIRC the business model was you broke even on the instructing, but made the profit by selling 'your' car. It was all to do with tax, and seemed like a bit of a fiddle to me at the time.

Re: Any current or former motorbike or car instructors on here?
Ok Alan, I know little of driving instruction, but the demographics are that there are fewer young people than pretty much any time since the driving test was introduced. Re: Britain looking to start the next chapter
Thanks. I don't really have a 'side' in this argument. I thought long and hard about my vote, and was still researching it the day before the vote! Above all, I've been interested in the facts (hard to come by) and not nonsense. The flag-wagging arguments on either side don't cut it with me. What sc...

Re: Small, light bike to practice trails
"Decent knobblies or at least good dual purpose tyres are important. Spend money on some decent body protection and a good pair of enduro/mx boots." Is very good advice....any trail/adventure bike is pretty much defined by its tyres...all the bling in the world won't help you at all if yo...

It won't do your arthritis any good though Gary, but it will help prevent prostate cancer!

Re: Britain looking to start the next chapter
TBF to the Brexiteers, I've just got off the phone to a medium-size British international haulier and he says Brexit has been fantastic for him as all the border complications have sent the E. Europeans packing. As a share of his work, international has gone up from 35 to 65 per cent, and his trucks...
