Re: Dartmoor Wild camping with bike

I have been wild camping all over the UK and Europe for over 20 years and i ignore the legal aspect of it but respect the land and never leave a trace i have been there other than a bit of flattened grass. I take every bit of rubbish away with me and dispose of it correctly. Most of my hammock campi...

Re: Gas Gas Pampera - wanted.

The clutch on the Pamperas are so light you can use 1 finger. The engine has so much tourque at the bottom end that you don't often need to feather the clutch but if you need more torque you can fit the header pipe and exhaust from a TXT trials bike. The only downside is build quality but they are ...

Re: SWM Superduel X

I owned the SWM RS650R which preceded the Superdual X. They are great little bikes and value for money. The X obviously has the 21" front wheel which is preferable if you do a lot of off road. If you decide to buy one the ABS system can only be turned off at the rear if you want to disable it c...

Re: ktm 790 adventure r perfection or myth

I owned the SWMRS650R . AJP bought the engines from SWM and it really is a great engine. From the dealer the engine map made the throttle very snatchy at low RPM which was no doubt due to the emissions regulations. I had the full power map installed and it was one of the smoothest single cylinder bi...

Re: North Somerset lanes

Great photos and some tough looking trails. The camera always makes a track look easier than it actually is but those photos do justice to them. I begin to wish i never sold my C90.

Re: Guilty Pleasures

Best I can do is a 1980 SB3,, 20 years ago? That's a rare thing. Did you like it? Some of the few remaining early SB bikes are now being raced in classic events, putting in some pretty good lap times. As Bimota always believed, it's all about the frame, and bikes like the SB3 demonstrated how good ...
