Re: bmc diesel engines from 60's 70's

Thanks everybody for the responses. The engine is indeed a marine version of BMC 1500 and I am a happy owner of my first narrow boat B) 4mph speed limit is not for fainthearted  The engine was unfortunately under water, but the whole engine compartment looks reasonably good and engine looks in...

Hi, from electric cars/bikes of the future to the dirty old diesels of the past. I might need to revive an old bmc 1500 diesel, which was under water for a bit due to flood damage until I get it under it's own power to the garage. Anybody have experience spannering them? Would changing oil, diesel, ...

Re: CE marking for products in EU

Cost me £40 K for the pleasure of becoming CE registered. That's for steel fabrication. Had no option. No CE marking. No orders = no business. A bit off topic, but I was intrigued to see the number of sellers about last year when I was pricing a steel portal frame building* who were NOT CE register...

Re: CE marking for products in EU

Thanks all for the replies. Please do not mix the "CE marking" which is self compliance to safety directives and standards with so called CE certification etc, which does not really exist and is just a marketing bull droppings. I am familiarising with directives and other paperwork, but as with ever...

CE marking for products in EU

Hello, thinking of manufacturing and selling a product, which I designed in uni a couple of years back. But am a bit bewildered with EU directives and wonder if anybody here deal with such things? Would be great to hear some practical/real world experience side of things. Especially with low voltage...

Re: KTM1190

engineering wise it looks a bit of rushed together bike. and you expect more refinement in such price range bike. did not get the chance to ride the bike, so maybe the riding outweighs all the short backs.

Re: What new clothing!

Scott has a very nice new line of their clothing, which imho is how all the riding gear must be made: 1. internal thermal layer can be taken out and used as a normal inversible jacket, which looks good. 2. the outer jacket/trousers material is tough, light and with plenty of ventilation zips for var...
