Re: Would a Bivvy be any good?
For some of my trips I have used a mini peak 2 tent from backpacking light. Pitches with a single pole in just a few minutes. Plenty of room inside for gear and packs very small. The only issue with it is that the sleeping compartment is cramped if your 6ft plus. https://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/...

Re: YULE TIDE RALLY 2020 SITE BOOKED ( limited numbers )
Not to worry John. Out of your control........ and not only that, even if the event could have gone ahead how can you monitor everyone who attends? the reason I say this is that at the beginning of the Virus disruption when we had a break I organised a small meet up in Nth Yorks. Someone turned up w...

Hey Nick, if you are going to Conder farm, there is my big BBQ there to use if youy wish. You can get lumpwood charcoal at the fuel station just outside Sedburgh,.
Go out of Sedburgh, past the Food store and its just on the left.

Re: Ecky Thump 2020. On or not?
I am afraid that this is official notification that the Ecky Thump rally is cancelled. I have been in touch with the landlady at the pub today and she has said that the campfield will still be open and social distancing is in place in the pub, but we cannot have a bigger group than 6 as an organise...

Re: Latest restrictions. Rallys
With regard to the Ecky Thump rally, we shall see what transpires. I will keep it as is for the time being, we have a month to see if restrictions are loosened.
I will update accordingly but if necessary pull the plug within a week of the rally (unless 6 want meet up!)

Re: JUMP STARTER REVIEW
I have a Cobra and it works well. Used on my own bike when i spent too much time pumping up a flat, should have started bike!
I have also used it to start a few local small cars. Good bit of kit.
