We find the horses are generally ok, it's the riders that aren't that smart! Farm animals are quite good at learning how to get out - but that's my problem to worry about, I'm more concerned that we install gates that are sufficiently user friendly that they inconvenience no one and don't get left o...

Very useful link. Thank you. I guess a self closer which opens both ways is optimum for trailbikers? Is there a standard width for a bike? Would they all fit through a 1200?

Another comment :woohoo: Byeway signage has been discussed elsewhere and given me imputus to approach local authority to improve signage on byeways over our own farmed land. This remove ambiguity between users and remind the less than responsible few of their respopnsibilities.

I think it would certainly be useful to be able to discuss issues about particular byeways, in particular where there is a dispute, say, between rider :( and land occupier :( or other stakeholder :unsure: . It would provide a central repository for thought :dry: and potentially improve stakeholders ...

LAT/LONG is 52'33.213N 000'55.046W - this is intersection of two roads. My understanding is they are actually considered to be normal unclassified 'field roads'.
