Re: polish removal
Steve Yes I am for real. When people start to make remarks where others with Polish names but are not actually Polish, then it can lead to discrimination. When Poland joined the EU and there was an influx of Poles there were accounts in the press of people in the UK beginning to be anti Poles. I had...

Re: polish removal
I was getting worried. I am of Polish decent, my father came to UK in WE2 and joined the RAF, and contributed to the war effort as did a lot of Poles. So not everyone with a Polish surname is Polish.

Our latest was adopted almost 2 years ago. Beagle Wefare took all our details and got his microchip registration transferred to us and at no cost. We gave a donation to the charity for him, we have also given them an annual donation for the past 18 years. This helps with others that are up for adopt...

Re: First Ski holiday

That way you get to know how the boots would fit - close but not too tight around the forefoot or you will get cramp in your feet and they will get cold due to lack of circulation. Trying in UK you will also get used to the long planks (skis) on your feet. ...

They are most probably factoring in an annual currency rate, shipping costs, increased costs for any warranty and also that vehicles in Europe have to meet European emissions and other components e.g. lights have to be e-marked. All bumps up the price. Then there is the marketing factor of what can ...

Re: Fitting a centre stand
One method I have used in the past is with the spring off the bike to flex it to open the coils and then put a coin in the gap. Repeat this on opposite sides and along the length of the spring. This increases the length of the spring until you only have a small amount to stretch it over the mounting...

Re: Goggles for Open Face Helmets
Back in early November I was fortunate to have to pass nearby to Halcyon so called in to check out the goggles. I have a Bell open-face helmet and had bought a pair of Classic Halcyon goggles off eBay. These were the standard size goggles and were slightly too large for my medium size helmet. The Co...

Re: Open face helmets - pros and cons
Got myself an open face Bell for the summer months together with some Halcyon goggles. The first time I road with the new helmet was rather strange in that I could feel more of the air on my face but also the field of vision to the side was improved. I felt even more commected with my surroundings. ...
