Re: Strange Problem...

Just had a thought...is your tank is breathing ok? Is the breather on the fuel cap or pipe blocked? I'm not sure where the breather is on an xrv but it's worth a look.

Re: Transalp brake pad problem

I would use a stud extractor. It's basically an opposite threaded bolt you wind in to a drilled hole in the damaged stud. As you wind it in, it will wind the stud out. You will then need a new stud from the dealer.

Re: Honda Crosstourer advert

The CT is an awesome road bike. The V4 motor has to be witnessed before anybody disses the bike.
I wouldn't take it off road but I didn't buy it for that. I use my XR650R which is much more suited.

Re: Honda Crosstourer Highlander Special Edition

I paid £10200 for mine. Brand new. Not pre-reg or anything. 0 miles. I then spent the £2k I saved on boxes, lights and gear. The deals are out there! 20% vat isn't helping the motor industry, especially bikes.
Mind you, VW just offered me 20% discount on a new car. Tempted. :woohoo:

Re: Honda Crosstourer Highlander Special Edition

Am I the only person that thinks new bikes as good as this are bargains? What's 12k nowadays? Gets you fook all in a new car. Have a real good look at a Crosstourer. The build quality is outstanding. I bought a new Blackbird in 98 for £7200 and 13 years later sold it for £3200. The longevity factor ...

Re: Drive chain problem help please

Bin it. Get all new chain and sprockets. I had a chain snap once at speed. Horrendous damage and it would have killed any pillion. Be safe.

Re: Brake issue with Honda Crosstourer

The discs are a bit thin for such a heavy bike.

Re: F800GS Engine Casing Corrosion

You should have seen the casings on my neighbours VFR1200F after 1 winter commuting! It was only a year old so Honda changed them straight away for the dealer. They took it in part ex and discovered the corrosion when they took the panels off to service it. Personally, on an older bike I would get t...
