Re: Threads that make you wonder why you visit this site

Not at all. Life's too short to get blood out of a stone. Why would I take a complete non response from anyone with a pinch of salt? A response to anything could be taken with one, just like your reply but a total blank can't be? My way of interpreting a complete blank is that I'm banging my head ag...

Re: Threads that make you wonder why you visit this site

Personally, I'm chucking the site in because I think it's full of pretentious numpties. Too much of a clique but too few people actually doing anything apart from the odd one trip a year. Or being keyboard warriors. You judge others, especially new members far too much. Either on the type of bike th...

Black Forest, Germany - June 2014 (picture intensive)

I wasn't able to get to the UK XR meet because it clashed with a trip Hilary and I had already planned. The Black Forest has been on the bucket list for several years and this year it was time to put a big fat tick on the box. We started planning it around Christmas time and were able to take up som...

Of course you can tour on a naked bike. Here is my wife with her Street Triple at Mummelsee in the Black Forest last week. The other bike, the Harley XR-X is mine.

I'm booked to head out to Santander from Portsmouth on 23rd August using the economie sailing. £150 with a cabin. I'm pleased with the price.

Re: Has anyone used the LD Lines ferry to Spain?

Just looked at the Brittany Ferries Economie fares, and they are between £75 and £135 cheaper in September for 2 bikes and riders sharing a cabin. I think they start running thse no frills routes this week. Look forward to someone posting shortly what it's like, and whether it's worth the saving. F...

Re: Has anyone used the LD Lines ferry to Spain?

Just to add that Brittany Ferries have started an "economie" service to Spain now. £89 crossing (each way) plus whatever accommodation/seat you choose. ---------------------following a phone call to Brittany Ferries--------------------------------- Have checked more into this now and the p...

Popped out to see them at the rally site today. Everyone was in good spirits. Even the sun came out, which was nice.
