immingham > oslo would be ideal, but it's a cargo route so they can't usually confirm a space for passengers till the last minute.
Alternatively a ferry to Denmark, then a ferry from Esjberg (northen denmark) across to Kristiansand

Re: vehicle tax to no longer carry over to the new owner!!!!!!!!!!!
My bike got hit and totalled by an untaxed and uninsured car last year. Load of hassle to sort out, to describe it would take up a whole other discussion by itself. I ride in london almost all year and use the V Wipe squeegee thingy.
Considered the water repellent spray, but figured it works best if you constantly ride at a certain speed so its easier for the wind to blow the droplets off. This doesn't happen much in the city, red lights everywhere!

Re: Vango New Tents
Vango make great tents, I'm still on the Banshee 300, it was less than a hundred quid. To throw more cash on a tent, I'd rather get one that's quick to set up / take down like the igloo, much more useful especially if you're arriving late in the dark, in the rain or having to leave quickly at a camp...

Re: Muff driving:)
Used to have these ones, they work against the cold but on the motorway, the wind did push the front of the muff onto the brake lever a little.
I had better luck with the larger Tucanos that fit over the metal handguards.

I suppose it's a case of styling or tarting up an existing donor bike but using more personal ways, rather than buying off the shelf blingy bits.
In other cases more work is involved e.g. A complete rebuild

Hey stormfield that is scarily like what I have in mind except mine would be a bit wilder. Thanks for posting it, any more pics of ones like that? Great minds etc! :) I keep an eye on the Bike Exif website, they normally have some interesting ones. Am all for bikes having personality, although I ag...
