Kev and the lads just shipped (in a van) their 5 bikes to Riga, then they flew into Riga, picked up the bikes and rode into Russia. I think you have to bring your bike over the border yourself otherwise you've to pay import duty. Check out their trip on www.bamriders.com (thumbs)

Make sure you lock up your bikes over there! We were in Lisieux Easter weekend and had 5 out of 9 of our bikes stolen from beside our tents! It was a locked campsite but had an over flow field that had a side gate in it. Both gates were locked, both chains were cut. Lock them to each other and to so...
