Re: 950 Adventure engine removal cradle

Thanks for that, just looks a big lump then! Biggest issue is it being off the road for too long cos its a horrible commute in the cage. Looks like thats my weekend tied up then.

Re: ktm starting/running issues

Starter fires normally, it'll only start from dead cold, any more than a minute of running and it won't fire up, just spins over after that.

Re: ktm starting/running issues

Wire had just broken about 2mm out of connector block, so managed to get it out an fit a new piece of wire to it. I checked everything on starter, apart from being covered in road crud it was fine, I put plenty of grease over it after I bought it as it's in a vulnerable place.

Re: battery charger recommendation

Always used an optimate 3 myself, easy to fit and can leave it on for as long as you want. Less than £50 on the bay.

Re: Sat nav repairs

Been in contact with the sat nav doctor, unfortunately he can't see it being repairable, so a new one it'll have to be, appreciate their honesty so off to the bay it is, thanks for help/ideas.

Re: Sat nav repairs

There is damage on the ribbon which comes out of that connector too, I think like you said it would be more cost effective to get a new one. It's from a Garmin zumo 550.
