Collected last Wednesday and used since - no problem, can get both feet to touch down and as long as you plan ahead, for cambers and the like, it's ok.
Thanks for theviews and advice.

Re: 125 for my son
My son did his CBT on Saturday. I sourced a 2001 DR125SE, with 1800 kilometers for £600. Not the fastest 125, but cheap to buy, insure and run and pretty-much bullet-proof. Highly recommended if he doesn't want/need speed.
Good off road too.

Re: 2003 950 adventure s - anyone got a spare step-ladder!
Thanks. This one has a later seat, crash bars and pannier rails, so that should help. I'll also turn down the preload and see how it feels. I'll just have to look for a kurb when I stop!! Anyway, it's a good excuse to ride, ride, ride.

Re: 2003 950 adventure s - anyone got a spare step-ladder!
Thanks guys. Pick it up next Wednesday, so will let you know how I get on. I'm not overly worried, from your comments, as I'll not be taking it off-road (I'm a member of the school of little and light for proper off-raoding, so have a DR and an EXC for that). I just happen to find big trailees the be...

2003 950 adventure s - anyone got a spare step-ladder!
Anyone got/had one of these and has a 30 inch leg or smaller? (mine's 30) What's your experience of managing the height issue? I've a DL1000 V Strom and find that no bother, but I'm wondering if the big katoom is going to pose a problem? Cheers.
Re: versys
I've an 07 Versys (as well as other bikes), which has a lower gel seat fitted. I'm 5'10'' and it's a stretch for me to touch down both feet. If I were you, I'd DEFINATELY have at least a sit on one, but preferably a test ride, BEFORE committing to buy. The other thing you'll have to watch is the sid...

Re: HELP ME ARHHHHHHH!
Don't suppose this will help with the original question, as it's already been hand washed, but, for interest ... I've had the stone colour Desert suit since they were first sold in 2007. I've washed it many times in the auto washing machine on a low heat without any problems. I was working at that t...
