Re: New BMW 1200GS for 2011 - the triple black

Changed my KTM 990 Adventure in June this year for a 1200 GS 30th anniversary. Best bike I have ever had, all things considered. Had two GS's before KTM, 1150 GS and 1150 GSA. Great bikes all of them, but this new one beats them all.

Re: Advice Please.........

If time is an issue, take the ferry to Bilbao or Santander, turn left for the Pyrennees or right for the Picos de Europa and within four hours you will find enough high mountains to keep you happy. Plenty of hotel/hostels to stay in both directions.

Re: Heated jacket advice

I have a heated jacket and although I I don't wear it very often, there is nothing quite like that feeling of warmth invading your body. My Grandmother used to say, if you don't have a top coat on this morning, you don't have one.

Re: Sights in Europe that you've got to ride too

Hi scouse,

You won't be disappointed with either Morocco or the Millau Bridge, but I can't speak for the other places. Morocco gets into your soul like no other place I have been to. I have been twice and the place is calling me again.

Tara canyon in Montinegro, Western Balkans is pretty spectacular if you like big drops with no barrier's. I agree that the Millau bridge is a sight worth seeing also. Fantastic design and engineering. Outside of Europe, Marrakesh should be seen by every adventurer.

Re: And what is Sir drinking tonight?

Scratchins, now your talking Alun. I asked for some in Devon once. They thought I'd gone mad, never heard of them said he. Then some bloke shouted up. You must be from the Midlands, asking for them. I said, well I can't believe you throw away the best bit of the pig.I believe you can get them in all...

Hi from the new kid on the block. Mine will be a nice Chilean red cav sav. Can't spell cabernet sauvignon!
