Re: Insurance for Albania and Montenegro
Hi We’ve traveled down to Greece on the bike every year since 2009, generally going from Eurotunnel at Coquelles to Ancona in Italy, then Anek Superfast ferry to Igoumenitsa. We did a 5 week trip around Europe in 2010 where we came up through Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia (uninsured)...

Re: greece maybe
In 2009 we traveled down though Belgium, Holland, France and down though Italy before crossing to Igoumenitsa from Bari, then wandered through Greece stopping in Lefkada (beautiful), Athens and Thesilonika before riding up through Bulgaria, where I got devoured by bedbugs. Then Serbia, Montenegro, C...

Re: Bulbs in France
Going to France for many years and never been stopped/checked etc. I always have spare bulbs in the car or bike. I use a Richa Hiviz over jacket and that solves it. But you will get done if you don't wear gloves! You can wear crocs, shorts, you name it. But you must have gloves. Not just any gloves...

Re: Bulbs in France
Very unlikely you’ll get pulled over for a random check unless you’re doing something stupid which attracts the Gendarmes attention. You need a hi viz gilet, UK sticker and all your papers but otherwise I wouldn’t worry too much. I’ve never been pulled anywhere in 50 years on a bike, but I did whil...

As far as my research went, it is a recommendation not mandatory.

Re: Wunderlich brake/clutch levers - anyone buy/use them
I have fitted the Wunderlich levers, the reach problem has been resolved by the shape of the respective lever bringing the clutch point closer.

Wunderlich brake/clutch levers - anyone buy/use them
Has anyone bought a set of these, and what do you think of them? They are hideously expensive but will, I hope, resolve the problem on my BMW R1200RTLC where the clutch biting point being just that little bit far out for my hands, or more accurately my arthritic middle and ring finger… old age strik...

Re: Can you recommend some road riding boots please...?
+1 for Daytona, I’ve got a couple of pairs, bought in 1998 and still going strong… sort of anyway. They’re kinda like Grandads spade though,3 resoles by the factory, and a replacement gear change protector, but the uppers, zips and liners are still going strong. Superb boots, comfortable and hard we...

Re: Rukka clothing
Over the last 50 years I’ve gradually moved from full leathers onto full fabric, initially with two piece leather, then leather pants/Rukka jacket mix as a’go to’ outfit, but about ten years ago our summer touring persuaded us to buy mesh gear from Rev’it for the annual holiday.. It didn’t take long...

Travelling to Greece via France and Italy - COVID tests
I’m planning a month long tour in June to Greece via France and Italy to catch the ferry into Greece, but from what I have read so far I need covid tests before entering each country. My problem is that I’m only in France 3 days and Italy 2 days, and I believe I require a PCR for Italy with LFT for ...
