Taffy Dakar
Booked in for the Saturday event only on my S10 and partner on MG Stelvio ( firm roads/tracks for her) and her daughter on XT660Z For a bit of practice prior we are doing the Yam Tenere Experience a few weeks before on the two XT’s. Great fun and our 5th year I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapat...

Re: Avon launches new TrekRider motorcycle tyre.
Anyone had a set of Avon Trekrider tyres on their steed and care to update us all on how they are?

Thoughts on the 660cc MT-03
Engines used in the water cooled latest Yam XT models so no problems there as ride and forget it other than check oil level. They never sold in a big way compared to the XT's and therefore are lower in price. The used bike guy in MCN this week has said they are a cracking bike for the price with a 2...

in fairness a valve check is easy .. a reshim is somthing else ...but look what ccm did with the 450x motor ..a 30 hour valve check extended to 5000 miles and to my knowlage no ccm has been reshimmed with big milages up no significant mocment in 15000 miles ... ..the swm motor is very unstressed ri...

New ADV bike from SWM
It is 5000 kilometres intervals. A dealer confirmed it. Weight is contentious. I wrote 186 kilos dry in my copy, as that was the spec on the website. But it feels nowhere near a 200 kilo wet bike. If a CCM is a genuine 130kilo I'd say the SWM feels more like a 150-160 kilo bike. It's a bit like a G...

I did see you, well done!, it was hard enough marshalling on mine and I only managed one lane, that said next year it'll have something better than battle wings on it! Thanks. I recall seeing your S10 also. Great event well organised. Myself and my two ladies(mother & Daughter) are definitely c...

Yamaha xt1200z super tenere THREAD
Did the Taffy Dakar this year on mine! Route B. Didn't do all the lanes but was surprised how well it managed it. 50 gates lane was the last one we did due to time to get back to TD HQ. That was the toughest due to about 4 gates with 2 of them on the downhill side! No pictures on this lane as too st...

I was in Thor of Bodmin yesterday and they definitely didn't have one so hopefully when I next pass in two weeks time I can see the current production version!
