Re: Kawasaki...our future is in the past.

Looking through an ISDT website (https://speedtracktales.com/index-of-is ... 949-wales/) I found a (the?) picture of a BSA ohc twin built in 1938 but war stopped work on it. Much like the Kawasaki engine with bevel drive to camshaft.

Re: Kawasaki...our future is in the past.

I recently brought an original ancestor of the Kawasaki W800 a 1949 BSA 500 Twin which evolved into the A10 650 with a spring frame which was then taken up by Meguro. I notice the Meguro/Kawasaki occasionally appear on EBay from D&K and freddythefatfrog importers.

Re: Transalps

I currently have a naked TA600 and have owned an assortment of 600s & 650s since the early 1990s. I like them they tick most of the things I want from a bike and they are fairly simple. They were never intended to be Dakar replicas but a middle weight tourer/adventure bike with some light off road c...

Re: Oxford HotGrips.....any good..?

I have fitted Oxford heated grips with the 'intelligent' switch but it does not always completely cut off the battery when engine is off. Leaving the bike unused for some weeks and it may flatten the battery so it will not start. I always put a relay to switch the supply off when engine off. Usually...
