Re: Recommended Travel Insurance for Euro Trip

We have an annual cover with Snow card. Covers a range of "higher risk" activities.

Re: New Tourance Tyres

Done about 500 miles now with a "NEXT" on the front. Previously used EXPs. Front seems great so far. Not really noticed it really, which I guess is a good thing. Chicken strips have just about gone. Time will tell.

Re: Picos De Europe May 2013

Re: Picos De Europe May 2013 Advice

Stayed at the above place a couple of years ago, had a good time. I agree with the location. However, the Hotel Picos De Europa in Arenas due Cabrales was better last year. The roads are just bliss, especially those converging on Riano.

Re: Altberg Boots

Is it correct that no longer refurbish boots and if the sole wears out its a new pair? Had mine resoled 18 months ago. I seem to remember there being some claims against Altberg as refurb's were not "as new" so they changed their policy. Great! I bought these boots on the knowledge that t...

Re: have you any tips for riding in winter

Keep warm, stop regularly, avoid packed snow and ice, cross your fingers if you suddenly can't hear the road/tyre noise. Most of all ... Get out there, the good roads are pretty quiet from November to March and it'll make you a better rider.

Re: Altberg Boots

I've been really pleased with my Hoggs. I had to wait 6 weeks because I needed a wide fitting. Now about halfway through the second sole, very comfortable. The extra layer over the left toes is wearing due to the gear change but I guess that's after about 70,000 miles of riding. They are waterproof ...

Re: GS-911 ??

I bought the Bluetooth one to complete the 24K service on my GSA. Really pleased, easy to use, software works etc. This is my 4th beemer, heaven knows why I waited this long to get one? Maybe because the first two I could manage without it.
So... in short a thumbs up!
