I know what you mean about the security. I have the same door as in the photo. I put two slide bolts one each side towards the bottom, one padlocked. all from inside. and alarmed with double knock sensor. I have taken windows 7 off and re installed XP. Managed to load everything else back up.
Looking around the Computer forums, seems to be something that windows 7 dosen't like.

Help advice needed,
Hard drive failure, clean install of windows 7
Can't install adode photoshop CS5 on windows 7. or light room 3.3
Had to resort to using the Canon software.
