"their ergonomics are in the level of the cheap gear."

Then I have a cheap shaped body. Lucky me! :)

Re: HG Uk is safe

I too own a lot of HG stuff, and have nothing but good things to say about it. My Explorer is TOTALLY waterproof, tough and looks as good now as when I bought it 3 years and 25,000 miles ago.

I'm staggered that any dealer could argue the tyre fitting bill had to be picked by you. Assuming you hadn't been hammering anils into them, the tyres were obviously not fit for purpose at the point of sale.

Seems common sense really isn't very common!

Re: Klim adventure gear ?

The Dakar pants are great for warmer weather. I used a pair for riding in Morocco where it got up to 36 degrees, and the long thigh zips were brilliant for keeping me cool. The best feature is the way the lower leg opens up completely so you can get them on over knee braces, then get your motorcross...

Re: Summer trousers

The Klim Dakar pants are very good for hot weather. Enormous vents up the thigh and very easy to get on with knee braces, plus a large opening down the back of the shin to get your motorcross boots on afterwards. Made of tough but not waterproof material, and come up a treat in the washing machine. :)

Re:Let's play footsie.

Sidi Flexforce for me. Buggered my ankle while racing a few years back, and it's not funny. It's back to pretty good now, and I'm not risking it just to be comfortable off the bike. If you're off hiking, then take hiking boots in the top box I say! The best thing about these (aside from the armour) ...

Re:Feeling Fleeced?

I don't usually get fleeced as I'm one of those infuriating types who'll research something to death before parting with cash. However, the one thing whic has let me down are my last pair of gloves - Frank Thomas waterproof ones. Look ace, and still do, but they leaked within about 8 months - as usu...
