Re: late notice, but..... Squires Biker Cafe, North Yorkshire, Sunday 29th Jan, 2pm???
.... Trying to arrange a regular Adventure bike coffee morning!! (and full cooked Monty) every Saturday morn. at 10am. Having a regular meeting is a good idea and Squires is ideal. However, be careful that you don't get confused with the riders who are part of the York Advanced Motorcycle group. YA...

thanks for the link - I LOVE MERINO!!!
I've bought a few base layers whilst in NZ and have since purchased sweaters - they are amazingly warm and you don't need to wash them as often as synthetics (no matter how much they claim to wick).

Re: Ride Any Road
thanks Domsday for the report. I did an off road training day with i2imca.com in March. The instructor, Tom, was fantastic and I had a really fun day. However, it was based on a MX track and whilst I learned some techniques, I didn't face any of the rough terrain of green-laning, so I wouldn't recom...

Re: Teen Motorcyclist
There's not enough female motorcyclists and even fewer who are so adventurous.
From the expedition map, it looks like she's giving Europe a wide berth and heading directly into russia - wonder why that is?
I wish her good luck and hope she stays safe

What type of 800cc + Adventure Rider are you?
I'm not sure why there are so many threads trying to label people. I ride a bike that suits me and my needs. I like other bikes too but in general, they're not built for a 5'2" woman. I've toured abroad on my own and with friends. Occasionally, I go green laning on a 250. I'm not nor want to be...

A large percentage, of ADV riders never go near a trail or a dirt track
Life is an adventure a bike is just a tool for the job but by no means the only one. Austin Vince actually said the best adventure he has ever had was hitch hiking around America  I like this :) I've been riding a long time & never go on package holidays but discovered backpacking just a ...

Re: 2 bikes wanted
...had a look at serow yesterday to tall hi Will, I'm surprised the Serow was too tall. Did your wife sit on it? I'm 5' 2" with a 29" inside leg (which is more important than height). I had a Serow earlier this year (stolen) and it was ideal. The seat appears tall but once I sat on it the...
