Hubby had a fab long weekend there in 2009 for the D-Day celebrations - met LOTS of bikers of all nationalities. Great atmosphere & moving ceremonies.

Like everyone else, we thought our dream job would be to run our own business doing something we love. So, we started 'Off Road France' providing guided off road tours for people with 4x4 vehicles and a sense of adventure.

Neat Deet definitely works for me. Without it I am virtually eaten alive. Though I am liking the sound of the Famous Grouse deterrant and think I might have to give that a go (oh to say "purely medicinal" and actually get away with it!)
Interestingly, Avon Skin So Soft works well as an insect ...

When it comes to clothes 'Im indoors has one rule for him and one for me.
For him: one set of clothing on, one spare set in top box to wear when washing/drying the first set, plus 1 pair waterproof trousers.
For me: "if it doesn't fit in that rucksack you can't take it".

I dream of panniers.....ah ...

I think the problem is your question was fatally flawed.
You should be asking "Why don't we both take 6 mths out for a RTW trip together?"
