Re: Go Big and Ride Small

I think cc as a 'definition' of small is as good a measure as any. I passed my test in 1976 and back then a 350 or 400cc bike was a 'big' bike. My first big bike was a 500cc ex Police Triumph T100P. I still have a bit of an issue with the modern description of 400 to 650cc bikes as being a small or ...

Re: Itchy Boots Rides a Pre Production Himalayan 450

I watched that yesterday. I thought it was interesting that on start up the engine sounds very much like the current Himalayan, but as soon as she hit the road and started to climb you heard a very different engine. I think RE have been very smart letting Noraly use the bike on her channel. I know s...

Re: PCX125 to Vercours (a balcony is very supportive 😉)

As usual a delightful write up along with spectacular photos.... moustache and all.

I have seen a couple of rides on youtube from Vercours and it's becoming more and more appealing.

Time to get planning I think.

Re: Suzuki V-Strom 800 DL

I was taken by surprise by finding not one but two 800DE's at my local Suzuki dealers last week, I hadn't realised they were in the showroom yet. I threw a leg over and first impression is that it has softer suspension than my 2015 VStrom 650 and is a fair bit taller, a couple of inches at least. Ot...

European Camping Websites?

Have you got a favourite website you use to find camping in Europe? I have a couple of sites that I like for the UK, but doing some on line searches, I am struggling to find anything comprehensive for Europe. Most of those I have found seem to only be booking sites and iOverlander seems only to have...

Re: Didnt know it was there

Having family in Scotland means I have visited the West Highlands on a regular basis since I was a child, but it was only in 2021 that I rode a motorbike there for the first time, amazing.

I plan to be back this year, postponed from last year due to a family bereavement and I can't wait!

Re: Go Big and Ride Small

I came across this YouTube channel via a post on Facebook, so it would appear it does have its uses.

I think she is going to have quite an adventure.
