Those kayak shoes look interesting, I'll take a look.
I set up camp wearing my riding gear on one evening of my recent trip, but as I prefer to ride in leather motorcycling trousers, breaking camp in the wet would end up a pretty slow and cumbersome business.

Camp shoes. What do you wear?
I recently did my first ever moto camping trip, seven days and 2000 miles up to and around Scotland.... wonderful. However, as I was keeping my packing relatively light, I only had one pair of walking trainers for wearing when not on the bike. Fine when it's dry, not so good when it is wet and you a...

Re: I've fallen in love again (Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro)
I like the sound of your dealer. I recently visited a Triumph dealer to look at the Tiger 850, they didn't have any in stock, nor did they have a demo bike, but I was allowed to sit on a Tiger 900. When I asked about a test ride I was told "Oh, since lockdown we don't really have test rides / d...
Re: Triumph
I was in a Triumph dealer yesterday afternoon when they told me about this.
According to the lady I was talking to she said that Triumph have said it is not good enough just to be in Enduro, "they intend to win", a bold statement.

Re: panned the pan american ...it may surprise you
I had a really good look over a Pan America today and a couple of things struck me. First, it isn't nearly as big as it looks on line and in the video's... oh it's big, but it's not 1250GSA / Africa Twin big, at least not tall. Second, it is a really well thought out and well detailed bike. Everythi...

Re: wild camping
I was on Mull in the first week of June and it was understandably pretty quiet, until I got to the area of Calgary Bay where people have taken to 'wild camping', mostly because there is a toilet block there... as well as the spectacular silver sand beach. The place was packed, it was like a normal c...

Re: the LOMO SPONSORED ADVENTURE RALLY
Hi Al. Sorry I was not clear in my last post. I'm planning on being in Scotland the same week as the rally, but I will be riding the NC600, and a fair bit besides, going through the Cairngorm's and up the East coast to John O'Groats, and then back down the West coast, into England and home. I hope y...

Re: the LOMO SPONSORED ADVENTURE RALLY
I've only just seen this thread. I'm a big fan of LOMO and am slowly but surely equipping myself and my VStrom with their bags. I'd love to attend the rally, BUT if all goes to plan I will be working my way down the West coast of Scotland on the 10th and on the 11th will be crossing the border and h...
