Looking for recommendations for camp sites near Crieff?
At some point next year I want to give the Crieff Cloverleaf a try. However, using the search methods I found to work on my run up to Scotland and back this year, I am finding almost no camp sites around Crieff. I know I could vary the routes a little and find something further away from Crieff itse...

Re: advice wanted please
I have found that polite and factual posts on social media sites usually illicit a rapid response.

Re: NEC Bikeshow 2021
I was there at 10.00am this morning (Tuesday) and there was very little delay getting in, other than people fiddling about to get wrist bands on at the Covid check in. It was pretty well attended without being packed, so you could see all the bikes and get a few photos, except the BSA stand that was...

Re: NEC Bikeshow 2021
That's one of the stands that is on my 'must see' list.
From a selfish point of view, quieter is good for me, easy to move about, easy to get to the bikes I want to see.
From an exhibitors point of view, let's hope it gets busier as the show goes on.

Re: NEC Bikeshow 2021
So, was anyone there today? I have seen one short video from someone wandering about late in the afternoon and the NEC looks three parts empty. Not that I mind, I'm planning on being there on Tuesday and I'd prefer it without massive crowds. Not sure the exhibitors will be too happy though. Speaking...

Re: NEC Bikeshow 2021
I've never been to the show at the NEC, but as I'm now retired and can go along mid week without taking a days holiday I thought I'd give it a go. I'm interested in seeing the Triumph Tiger 660, and there are a load of other specific stands I also want to visit. Everything carries a risk at present,...
Re: Armstrong
Looks nice...just waiting for the cafe racer scrambler bike shed flatcap mob to cotton on to them, buy them up and ruin the lot. It's already started, at least with the MT350. They are starting to be bought up, and restored to a level that is better than they ever were when new, and then have massi...

Re: Getting up to Scotland
I rode my 650 VStrom from Kirkcudbright home to North Somerset in one long run down through Wales, Staffs, Herefordshire etc as the last day of my Scotland tour in September and it took around ten hours and was pretty tiring come the end of the run. If you are looking to make Devon to Scotland in a ...

Re: Camp shoes. What do you wear?
That's the situation I was in on my trip. I had my riding boots, a pair of 'walking' trainers and a pair of flip flops. The trainers got a bit wet on one evening setup and got thoroughly soaked the next morning when breaking camp, partly because the bike had to be parked a short distance from where ...
