There some cracking little roads in South and mid Wales. Some of my favourites:

B4293 from Chepstow to Monmouth, via Devauden

B4233 north from Monmouth to Abergavenny

B4235/4598 north-west from Chepstow to Abergavenny via Usk

B4558 west from Llangattock, turning left at ...

If the DFDS route works out then that would be fantastic! The office person who emailed me (after I prompted them twice) was very offhand about the whole thing and really didn't seem to care about non-freight customers.

A possible Plan B would be the Harwich to Hook of Holland overnight ferry that ...

I haven't heard anything for a while, not for at least 8 weeks. I did get an email back saying they were intending to start the service at Easter and that bookings could be made shortly before. The website isn't very informative but does give a phone number for thier office in Denmark, I beleive ...

Paul, the dates I put up are not 100% fixed. If we find more people want to go slightly earlier then that is do-able. We just want to avoid school holidays in the UK and higher ferry prices at peak season, if possible.
