Re: WK400 owners thread.

Hi all, Haven't been back here in a while, mostly due to not riding! But Wendy K is stil going strong and am out and about again now. Good to see the thread is still running. I keep her outside unfortunately and the piston in the rear brake caliper was stuck so I dismantled it and gave it a good cle...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Thanks Andi, yes - that does look like the longer one on the sprocket side.

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Hello again all, haven't been here for a while and have a stupid question:

I've just had the rear wheel bearings done and foolishly forgot to note which spacer goes on which side of the wheel.

I'm guessing the longer one goes on the sprocket side, can anyone remember/confirm?

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Did you take into account that if you are fitting a 42T rear sprocket you may need an extra link or two on your chain length? Ah, no I didn't. Thanks. I think I'm going to stick with 40t though since it seems I'll be looking for something more capable off road soon. I should sell the WK to off-set ...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Thanks v much for the advice everyone! So my final shopping list is a DID x ring chain, 2 front sprockets from Quadzilla (might even get 3 in case they run out...) and a 40 or 42 tooth JT rear. Looks like this will do it to me: https://chainsandsprockets.co.uk/products/motorcycle-chain-x-ring-did-go...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Aha. After a bit more hunting through this thread I found an old post of Mr. Netsonic's (of course!) with details on JT replacements for sprockets: Front Sprocket: https://chainsandsprockets.co.uk/products/jtf-1322-front-drive-motorcycle-sprocket-15-teeth Quadzilla have quoted me only £4 for a new d...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Just got back from another brilliant 1-1 with Moly at SweetLamb. He set up my suspension for me too and the bike feels much tighter and more stable, especially flying up a steep and rocky track, where the back end was bouncing around like crazy to start with. I need a new chain and sprocket set tho,...

They're yours :) I'll see if I've still got some packaging for them. Or we could meet in the middle on the bikes maybe...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Sounds like a cracking day and worth the money..[emoji106] Totally :) Who'd have thought it tho, the WK put up with Welsh mountains no problem. I get home and have a gentle trundle up the fosse way and get a flat. And of course the one thing I forgot to put in my tool kit was the t-bar to get the f...
