Re: Why did you sell your last bike?

Just sold an XJR 1300.
rediculous bike really. Had a bigger engine than the mrs car although it was ulez compliant which is odd.
Used up more fuel warming up than actually riding it, gave me neck ache and burned my knees on the engine but still felt an enormous sense of loss when she went.

Re: Anybody using one of these O'NEAL HELMETS

Seen a few reviews for them and seem pretty good for the money.
The things people seem to complain about is that they can be a little heavy and that the chin part is a bit low and you cant look down properly. Also they feel a bit plastic and creaky but other than that really comfy and good value.

I made a mistake with the links. I put the wrong link on at first but corrected it.

Re: Buy a Jap, they ain't crap

Completely true. Not a drop of fresh fuel added. It's the bike I'm praising. If this bike can run on badly out of date fuel then I know what bike I would rather be bouncing across Africa on. I also have a KLR 650 76K on the clock last turned off in 2009. Started first stab of the button 3 weeks ago ...

Re: Buy a Jap, they ain't crap

I also have a KLR 650 76K on the clock last turned off in 2009. Started first stab of the button 3 weeks ago with the same fuel from 2009. In 76K the only thing that went wrong was the side stand switch. My mates F800GS wouldn't start cos it had dropped 1.5 Volts. I know what bike my money is going ...

Re: Kreiga Neoprene Fork Seal Protectors

Depends on what type of riding you do. Do you off road?
I have the rubber stock ones on my XTZ and KLR but the next front end strip down I do on my bikes I'm taking them off as I prefer to not have any at all.
At least the rubber ones usually have a hole at the bottom to drain water out.

Re: Kreiga Neoprene Fork Seal Protectors

The chrome on your forks is only a few thou deep. I would say that any crud picked up underneath could scratch the fork.
If you are going to use them then I would remove them after any dirty or wet riding and clean them properly.
Saying that I have never used them and to be honest I wouldn't.
