Re: Cone filters on trail bikes.

They would allow the bike to fill with water very easily plus K&N's are not renowned for filtering fine dust or sand.

Re: Shock Lock Nut Jammed?

If you get stuck and the threads are knackered, I've got a rear shock from a 2010 690 Enduro (250mm travel, not longer R version) you can have for £80 without the stock 80nm spring or £100 with the spring. All of the threads & adjusters are good. Carriage will be £10 by TNT, tracked unless you want ...

Akrapovic silencer

Came with my Husaberg 390, it's been sat in its box for nearly 3 years.

One of the carbon hangers is broken and there's a small hole in the carbon silencer tip, both shown in the pics below. I've been told it will also fit KTM EXC's of the same era (2009-11). I've never used it and what you see is ...

Re: Anyone use throw over panniers on a DRZ 400??

If you're making a set of racks for the DRZ, make them in separate sections i.e. top rack and a detachable rack each side otherwise you need to remove everything should you need to access the battery behind the left panel. There's also a fuse behind the panel, relocate it under the seat.

I made a ...

Re: Fastenings thingies for Tool Tubes

Why not make a bracket or two and weld it to the subframe? I'll be doing this soon to a mates TTR250. I've previously mounted one to some homemade racks for a DRZ400 and to the TT racks fitted to my 690. I've seen tooltubes mounted using P-clips twist and buckle wgen filled with things like tyre ...

Re: Is this the way biking is going?

Dealers. Hmm. A friend just recently Px'd his Harley 1200 sportster for a new bike. The trade in was in the showroom with a 2K mark up. It was sold within a couple of weeks. Ok any dealer is entitled to a profit but so many of them are just plain greedy.

Just because it's marked up £2k ...

Re: Is this the way biking is going?

We need to support local bike shops or they'll close through lack of business. I've built a good relationship with an ex-Honda dealership here in Oxford. I get looked after and will still buy from them even when they're not the cheapest. The 'net was no use when I still needed parts a couple of ...

KTM 690 Enduro suspension for sale

Forks and rear shock from a 2010 690 Enduro, the model with the shorter suspension as standard from the factory. If your Enduro R (up to about 2012) is a bit tall, these will fit straight in and reduce your seat height by 25mm approx. Both forks and shock are standard springs and have not been ...
