Re: I guess we've all done it!

I managed 100 milesish home bound with no issues, then stopped for a toilet break. Pulled off again and nearly hit a tractor coming round a corner, glad I'd already been to the toilet.

Re: WK400 owners thread.

No ideas on the smoke. I've seen reports that reckon the engine is based on a detuned xbr500 so I wouldn't be confident which spares if any you could use from Honda

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Hi netsonic, my switch did the same thing, I've bodged it temporarily so that the main beam is permanently on and I have no high beam. How much was your new switch? I've bought one for a royal Enfield which is much better quality (I've got one fitted to my morini) but I would have to change all the ...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Hi all. Went out last Wednesday for a ride to see whether adjusting the tps cured my bike. Did about 150 miles with approx 50 of that off tarmac. The bike cut out once for no apparent reason, other than that it ran great. I've not really been keeping track of my mpg but I filled up at 210 miles with ...

Great afternoons ride, thanks for showing us a few new trails Steve. Got one pic from when we took it slow :)

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Finally got a chance to test the bike since I adjusted the tps to 0.74v. I got to the end of the road before it stalled, got it started without having to turn the ignition off, rode a bit further and it stalled again. Then the problem seemed to clear. Did a few laps of the estate, braking hard and ...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Haha, cheers dad. The number was cr9eh-9 according to the manual. The space is limited by the frame though

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Hi andi, it is. I can't get a normal socket in (I think it's 18mm). I have some thin spark plug tools but the short one isn't long enough to get anything to drive it on, and the long one is to long to get in. I shall probably have to fabricate something unless someone has a better solution.

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Adjusted the tps to 0.74. That was the easy part, getting the spark plug out is not. Has anyone had their one out? Any tips/tools needed would be appreciated.
I removed the right hand tank support and the HT lead just pops off, I just can't get any sockets onto the plug (didn't get a tool kit with ...

Re: WK400 owners thread.

Thanks Netsonic. Just checked and I'm reading 0.82v. So in theory if 0.74v is the optimum setting (don't know if there's any variation between units but I assume it should be standard), then my bike will have been over fuelling. I shall check the spark plug to see what condition it's in and if it ...
