Re: What did you all learn from your trips this year???

The independent dealer was spot on and the main dealer (stratstone wolverhampton) charged for a full oi...

Re: Buying an ex-Police bike, pros and cons?

I bought an ex-police BMW R1200RT at auction in July. It was registered in 2007 and had covered 44,000 miles. It had 24 services during this time and is a bike that I propose to use for teaching on. I have covered just 3,000 miles on it as I only teach in the winter time (to maintain my riding skill...

Re: Accomodation in WALES

hi - when you say you received a "get lost", do you mean an error 404 message or a 403 message? I have set things up with a 401 through to 406 message plus 412, 500, 501 and 502 responses There is no re-direct on the page an certainly would not dream of a bespoke "get lost" type ...

Re: Accomodation in WALES

Over the next few weeks, the re-furbishment of our apartment will be complete. It is in Knighton, Mid Wales. Just sorting out the snagging at the moment and will be hanging the curtains and pictures. Ready in time for November - it is cold then, but your bike(s) will be in the garages, under cctv. W...

Just the 3 Harleys in the garage at the moment (Road King Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Classic and Fat Boy) - just soft old Heritage Softail Classic Twin Cam and have my eye on a Suzuki Bandit for my role as a CBT instructor and a Hyabusa for my role in Blood Bikes

Re: First road ride out of the year !

Off road on a big Harley Tourer (and I have 3 in my garage) is not really the ride of choice - I think we can agree on that point. Got totally soaked today - a pox on the weather forecast - will take at least a week for leathers to dry out...... At least I have spare clothing so expect to be out tom...

Re: wanting to set up a touring company...

Very best of luck with your venture. Might I suggest that you do NOT accompany the riders as you will need Hire/Reward insurance as well as public liability insurance. I don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but the more information you can glean from your customers, the better. Maybe they do not wa...
