I dunno, but it's hard to believe you could even find a hole in a metal rim that was so small it took 2-3 weeks to noticeably lose pressure. More likely there is some corrosion on the bead seat, perhaps from an earlier ding and they didn't/couldn't clean it up enough to seat the tyre properly..or th...

If you can locate it, some araldite or the thick super glue (slo-zap) will probably do it, clean with thinners or acetone first.

If it takes 2-3 weeks to show up, can you really say it started leaking immediately after a dealer visit?

Would fool a thief for about 10 seconds, it would probably do well at attracting his attention in the first place though.

Owner probably did it to gain attention anyway, VW fashion-Vans are a bit like BMW Bikes, "look at me" types just love em :whistle:
