I think it's great news.
Those that are truly worried by the legal implications and can't ride (or seemingly live) without their ears being wired, won't go. More room for the rest of us. Excellent.

I rarely take any pictures but I always make a note of the day's riding when abroad.
It's nothing wordy, just:
When and where we left from, where and when we stopped en-route, any glitches in the planned route (so that I can avoid them next time) and when / where we finished. I keep them all ...

Depends on what you mean by dirty and happy.
In the winter, I always wash the bike on my return if only to remove the road salt. I do this whether I arrive at six PM or midnight.
In the spring (as it is now) I'll give it a hose over on my return to remove the road dust, previously dissolved ...

The thread is not about the biking roads where you live. The whole country has got roads. Places with fantastic roads and fantastic mud tracks are two a penny but they also have their fair share of dreadful roads ...
